Those Who Organise Retreats & Events Will Often Be Considered Tour Operators
As of July 1, 2018, new laws redefine a Package Holiday, impacting anyone organising holidays or trips with inclusive benefits.
A package now involves two or more types of Travel Services combined for the same trip. These services include passenger transport, accommodation, motor vehicle hire, & other tourist services.
The regulations place liability on the organiser for the performance of these services, entitling travelers to compensation for any lack of conformity.
Organisers must provide financial protection and statutory information, or face potential liability claims & criminal offenses for non-compliance.
