Vision
The International Federation of Existential Analysis and Logotherapy (IFEAL) exists to become the global coordinating body and standards authority for the study, teaching, practice, and ethical application of logotherapy and existential analysis, in the spirit and intellectual lineage of Viktor E. Frankl.
IFEAL is designed to function as an international coordinating, standards-setting, and professionalisation body that supports, amplifies, and extends the work of the Logotherapy and EA Institutes worldwide. Our vision is a globally connected, academically rigorous, and clinically grounded community of institutes, practitioners, educators, and researchers working together to ensure that Logotherapy and Existential Analysis is:
- Taught to high and consistent standards
- Practised ethically and competently
- Developed through serious research and publication
- Represented internationally with intellectual credibility and institutional coherence
Mission
IFEAL’s mission is to:
Act as the international coordinating and standards-setting body for logotherapy and existential analysis
Safeguard and advance the intellectual and clinical heritage of Viktor Frankl
Work in structured cooperation with the Viktor Frankl Institute in Vienna and national Viktor Frankl Institutes
Define and maintain international standards for:
- Education and training curricula
- Certification and qualification pathways
- Clinical practice and supervision
- Ethics and professional conduct
Education and Qualification Pathway
IFEAL will offer an internationally coordinated training and qualification pathway in cooperation with recognised Logotherapy and Existential Analysis Institutes.
Qualifications will be suitable for:
- Psychotherapists and psychologists
- Counsellors and coaches
- Medical professionals
- Educators and pastoral workers
- Researchers and academics
