Trainee Insurance Executive

Salary circa £24,000 a year, full-time, Monday to Friday – Faringdon, Oxfordshire

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Insurance Executive to work in our Health and Wellbeing team in our busy, friendly office in Faringdon.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and organised. We are preferably looking for someone with some administration experience. The role will be supporting account handlers in the Health and Wellbeing team in:

  • Issuing client documentation.
  • Chasing outstanding information/paperwork.
  • Speaking to clients/insurers.
  • Following up quotations.

About you

  • Previous experience in Insurance or a regulated industry preferred but not essential.
  • A good level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic with a good level of written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrate confidence to deal with our customers over the phone.
  • The ability to multi-task in a complex environment is essential.
  • Customer services experience would be advantageous.
  • The ability to learn and develop through continuous training and support, to ensure you are providing a first-class service.
  • This role is fast-paced, and candidates must be susceptible to change.

Skills and abilities required

  • Previous experience in Insurance or a regulated industry preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working in an office environment preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines within a team environment, with good motivational, organisational, communication and presentation skills.
  • Good numerical skills, with the ability to work accurately and showing attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes; Outlook, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English – C or above.

Senior Commercial Broker

Salary Circa £60,000 a year, full-time, Monday to Friday – Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Summary

This is a senior level role within a progressive team. With the role comes:

  • An existing book of business
  • An opportunity to develop your own portfolio – of standard & non-standard Commercial Accounts, Risks and Schemes

You will have:

– Worked on Commercial Insurance risks in a position of responsibility
– A proven track record
– The ability to coach, train and generally provide information to the supporting team members
– Excellent technical insurance knowledge
– The self-confidence to effectively deal with clients’ boards and board members

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Looking after existing book of commercial clients, from SMEs to larger corporate clients
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships by providing excellent customer service
  • Further developing the current book, by:
    a. cross selling techniques and business development
    b. the development of existing insurer facilities in the UK and EU/EEA
    c. developing the existing scheme and target markets
  • Operating within regulatory guidelines
  • Supporting other team members as appropriate/necessary to ensure a first-class service to all of our clients

Required

  • 7+ years’ experience in General Commercial Insurance
  • 3+ years’ experience in generating and placing new business
  • Experience of Broking within the EU/EEA would be an advantage as would a knowledge of arranging insurance for companies trading internationally
  • Driving license

Personal Lines Broker/Team

Salary Circa £30,000 a year, full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday – Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Summary

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Personal Lines Broker, or perhaps a Team looking for a new home and new opportunities.

Our office is located in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, but we appreciate teams might be located in other areas of the UK.  The Personal Lines Broker/Team will be responsible for handling client enquiries, providing tailored insurance solutions, managing renewals, and processing claims. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.  We anticipate adding a flow of new mid/high net worth opportunities to the account over the coming year.

Required

  • Experience in handling client enquiries and providing customer support
  • Knowledge of insurance products and the ability to provide tailored insurance solutions
  • Skills in managing new business, renewals and guiding clients with claims
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Relevant qualifications in insurance or related fields are beneficial
  • Experience using insurance-related software and technology
