Woodlands Insurance

Insurance facility for woodland owners

One can simply not see a lot of things in small woods. Much the same is true of insurance policies!

One should be careful when arranging insurance for the woodlands owned. Few brokers and insurers have a real grasp of what a woodland is or why someone would want to own it.

They will have little idea of the multitude of activities that might ‘happen’ in a small wood and little understanding of the potential risks – both to the woodland and the visitors (invited or not).

Few will understand that the woodland might earn a revenue stream (and how to protect it) – and less will understand why one would want to buy it without that revenue stream.

The inherent risks of water, dilapidated fences, walls and, sometimes, buildings (which may be listed) may simply be ignored.

The Small Woods Association has teamed up with BGi.uk to offer preferential rates to their members.
